Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of Knurl — the Service, your license, billing, your data, and the limits that apply on both sides.
- 01
The agreement
These Terms govern your use of Knurl, a computerized maintenance management system (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
- 02
The Service
Knurl provides an asset registry, work-order management, an offline-capable technician app, a manager dashboard, and related capabilities, offered in Starter, Professional, and Enterprise tiers. The features available to you depend on your tier and active license.
- 03
Accounts, licenses and users
A license is issued per facility. Your tier sets your asset limit and, on Starter, a user limit; Professional and Enterprise carry no per-user charge. You are responsible for activity under your account and for your users' compliance with these Terms.
- 04
Trials
A new facility may start a 14-day trial at Starter-tier limits, no card required. When the trial ends a 7-day grace period follows; without a paid subscription the app becomes read-only.
- 05
Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in USD through our payment provider, Polar, acting as merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. After non-payment or cancellation the app enters read-only mode following the grace period — your data is retained, not deleted.
- 06
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to circumvent licensing or access controls, and no interference with the Service's operation or with other customers.
- 07
Your data
You own your facility's data — the asset registry, work orders, photos, and event history. We act as the system of record and process that data to provide the Service. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
- 08
Availability
The Service is provided on a commercially reasonable-effort basis. Any service-level commitment applies only where expressly stated in an Enterprise agreement. The offline-capable app is designed to keep working without connectivity, subject to a valid license.
- 09
Termination
You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period and then enters read-only mode. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Termination does not cause us to delete your data.
- 10
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit our liability for indirect or consequential loss.
- 11
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
